We wanted to provide all of our coaches, players and parents with the latest information on Soccer Day which is happening on Sunday, October 18th beginning at 11:30 a.m. We are looking forward to another fun and exciting celebration for the players who play in our in-town programs. The Medway Elementary PTO (MEPTO) also puts on their annual Pumpkin Fair which includes pumpkin painting and other fun activities for the kids.
WHAT: Annual Soccer Day & MEPTO Pumpkin Fair
WHEN: Sunday October 18th, 2026. Players meet and start to line up at 11:30 am for the “Parade of Champions”, parade at 12 noon, first game at 12:30 pm.
WHERE: Medway Middle School
WHO: All boys and girls teams in the Instructional, Micro and Intramural Programs
PRIOR TO SOCCER DAY: Each team should plan to spend some time at practice collectively putting together a banner, poster and/or other team spirit items that they can use to show their pride and spirit during the Parade of Champions. The more unique, the better… so put your creative hat on. The team with the most spirit in each level will receive recognition at the parade and a certificate.
PARKING: It's expected that parking may be a little tight at the middle school, so we encourage some of you to consider parking at the Burke/Memorial School to try to minimize the challenges with this.
PARADE OF CHAMPIONS: We'll begin to get the kids assembled at 11:30 am (please be prompt) with their coaches and teams near the lighted practice field to the left of the track (if you're looking at the back fields from the Middle School parking lot). We'll need to get the parade going promptly at 12 noon so that we can complete the parade, have our national anthem, have a quick warm-up and start the first games on time at 12:30 pm.
CONCESSIONS: We'll have an assortment of lunch items like hot dogs, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, as well as snacks and drinks. Please support the program by joining us for lunch! There will also be sample MYS gear at our concession stand throughout the afternoon for you to browse in case you’d like to order some from our online store. We’ll have colored hairspray as well for the kids to show some team spirit!
MATCHES: The first matches will begin at 12:30 p.m. Each team will play two matches during the afternoon with a break in between. All matches will be at either 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 or 3:30 p.m.

AWARDS: Each participant will receive an award. Please follow your coaches direction after the final game to be sure your child receives their medal.
